Trading & Glitches

Back I am, Jammers, after a short one-day break due to my kittehs' illnesses. This is the last day in the out-of-order chronologically guide. I hope these have proved useful to you if you are a relatively new Jammer, or entertaining if you are a not-new Jammer.

Let's talk about trading. Trading was invented (I assume) when too many people were getting tricked out of their items, because people said things like "Send me ______ and I will send you ______." That's called a SCAM, people. Don't do it. Don't fall for it. Now, there is this thing called TRADING, where you can exchange up to 4 items for someone else's item on their trade list. Wow. How amazing.

Now, some people use their trade list as a way to either a) scam (still!) or b) Show off how "rare" they are, even though they will never trade those items.
But, trading is an excellent way to acquire your dream item (unless you have a super best friend with that item), or to build up your plushie collection.
However, many Jammers are only interested in getting rare items (in an honest way). So, trading is something of hobby or passion, so I am here to let you in on some trading tips and secrets, and some methods of attracting trades.

Attracting Trades:
Many Jammer don't like to trade FOR things, they want the trades to come to them. So, if you are one of those Jammers, here is how to get trades to come to you without sounding like a whiny crybaby and begging for trades.

Look cool:
Put your best items on. People only trade with other people whom they think are "cool" or "rare," so strut your stuff.

Epic Trade:
Put your best items on your trade. The first step is to get people to click on you, the next step is to make them keep looking at your trade. Don't fill your trade list up with toys and plushies because you want to take up space. Take time, and make sure you are willing to trade everything on your trade list.

Stores:
Many Jammers have "stores". Bascially they fill up their den with stuff, and get people to come and look at it. If the people like it, they request to trade for it.

Managing Trades:
For many people who go to the trades, the problem is negotiating out a good trade. Here are some pointers for those people:

  • Members don't always want member stuff. This happens ALL THE TIME! Some (not all) non-members assume that just because an item is member, that means that members want it. However, not all member items are unrare, so just do your research. If you can buy it, it is not rare.
  • Quantity is quality. FALSE! Four unrare items does not equal a rare item. Many people think that just by filling up all of the trade slots, you are guaranteed to be accepted.
  • Rare tag does not equal rare. AJHQ does a bad job at turning items into rares. Some work really well, while others fail. This is not necessarily a good trade:

Now, here are some tips to make your trades seem more appealing.
  • Member tip: If a non-member has a member rare that you want, trade them a non-member rare for it. Most likely they will accept, because they can actually wear/use the non-member rare.
  • Look up the items you think are rarest in your inventory on a blog or something, so that you can get a good idea of what items your items are worth.
  • Don't over-trade people. It will get people annoyed, so even if you REALLY, REALLY WANT that Fireplace, don't trade more than two or three times for it. If they don't accept, then it is time to move on.
  • If you have absolutely no rares, and the Jammers whom you have previously traded with refuse to trade with you because of this, play Sky High. The prizes at the top range from Butterfly Wings (lame) to Scary Bat Wings (OMG I HAVE TO HAVE THOSE!).
I hope you found those trading tips useful!

Now, on to glitches!

Many Jammers love glitches. Some are wacky, some are fun, some are downright ridiculous. I don't know how to do any glitches, so if that is what you are interested in, I'm sorry.
Glitches can be anything from a minor programming problem...
....to a location problem...
....to having a lot of gems.

There is not much to say on glitches, but if you see any, feel free to share!

Until next time...
Happy Jamming!

    2. First of all, why do people feel bad for others who got scammed? It's their fault they weren't smart enough to realize that was fake. People should understand to not gift people things if they say to, let's say, give it back. If they do that, tell them you will hold something of theirs that is of high value and you will only give it back in a trade. When people tell you they are going to gift you something of higher value than what you gift them, tell them to put it on trade. Another thing is that if they say they will wear it, gift them something so ugly, you were dying to get rid of it. People who get scammed shouldn't be felt bad for. They got scammed because of their own stupidity. If you get hacked, then it is also your own fault for not having a difficult enough password. If you are famous and have lots of rares and betas and you get hacked, than I might feel bad for you.

    4. Hey Anon, chill out with the language, kids might come here (considering it's about a game made for younger kids-). No duh they'd feel like an idiot, but would they go around telling people 'HEY! I GOT SCAMMED!1!!!!!11'? Don't really think so. They're not heartless for thinking what they think. Opinions dude, opinions (but honestly, it is so easy to just not get scammed? Most of the giveaways and other ways people scam are so obviously scams...)
