It is Monday, which means that one Rare is for sale in Animal Jam shops. Today, it is the Rare Anchor Ballcap, sold in Bahari Bargains.
Have you noticed how a lot of the rare items are purple?

For today, I have decided to do a rare item feature. Today's is...
Top hats!
Now, many rare items around Jamaa don't (in my opinion) look, well, altogether atractive. Example: Eyeball Hats.
However, the Top Hat is one of the few items around Jamaa that actually looks interesting! There is almost any color, to go with any outfit. Some items look strange or distorted on animals. Not the Top Hat! There are eight colors: Light blue, red, brown and peach, grey and black, black, pink, tan and blue. 
There is a rare Top Hat that is orange and green.
There is also a "Founder's Hat", which is considered a Top Hat. It is yellow-gold in color.
There is also a Freedom Hat, a non-member variation of the Top Hat.
The original cost of these items was 150 gems. The black and grey top hat was returned to the Canyons Pathway Hat Shop during Hatapalooza in 2013.
The trading value of these items varies by the color and opinions of the people trading them. Many people say the solid colors are the rarest. I traded a purple glove for my solid blue top hat. Many people may disagree with this trade, but I had a glove that I liked better, so it worked out. In short, I would say several rares for a Top Hat.

You traded a glove for a top o.o was it before 2013???!! Cause if somoene actually did that trade in 2012 or 2011 then that person is absolutely clueless... Then again, if you did it now, you could of bought it a month before, or you could of gotten a lot better trade for that then a glove. You could of found someone to trade it for like a plushie XD another thing, what kind of glove? If it was a legend or a lava or even a dragon then that would be a really bad trade, if it was a mummy, or a nm, then it would be ok, maybe. I think that if you traded for the top now, you could trade for say, a small small beta, like a tea cup or a small small rare! This is a really long comment lol plz reply to say if it was around now or from a long time ago :) thx for reading this really long comment! XD

I traded it in 2013. I actually traded a regular, non-member glove. Actually, the other person traded, and I accepted, because I had two gloves, and had just become a member, so a Top Hat had seemed really appealing to me, reading about them on blogs and stuff.
Didn't you buy one when it was in stores? O.o
